The Yankees make a big off season move to pick up a top tier starting pitcher.
Japanese ace Masahiro Tanaka was signed to a 7 year, $155 million deal. The 25 year old went 24-0 last season in Japan with a 1.27 ERA. He can opt out of the contract after four years. The Yankees also paid $20 million for the posting fee to negoiate with Tanaka. They have spent $491 million this off season. Sports Director Marisa Jacques has the details.
