Linda Ibrahim plead not guilty to the charges against her in connection with a deadly hit and run. As Meredith Zaritheny reports, the victim's family was in court for the arraignment.
GOSHEN, N.Y. -- Family and friends of Eric Geter gathered at Orange County Court on Wednesday for the arraignment of Linda Ibrahim, 28.
She is accused of hitting Geter with her car, while he was walking to work on Walsh Avenue in Newburgh. Geter was killed in the crash, and Ibrahim fled the scene.
Ibrahim plead not guilty to charges of second degree vehicular manslaughter, and leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.
The New Windsor Police Department credits surveillance video from local businesses for tracking down Ibrahim's car. She had taken her vehicle to a local repair shop, and explained the damage was from hitting a deer.
Ibrahim is due back in court in March.
