POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- More charges have been filed against the man accused of killing a 99-year-old Poughkeepsie woman in August.
Javon Rogers, 20, is now facing four first degree murder charges, five burglary charges, and two robbery charges. He was previously charged with first degree murder and first degree burglary. Rogers has plead not guilty to all eleven charges.
He is accused of breaking into the home of Fannie Gumbinger on Underhill Avenue, killing her, and burglarizing her house. According to the indictment, Rogers strangled her, stabbed her with a knife, and hit her before she died.
Rogers is expected in court in March.
