Heavy snow hits the Hudson Valley Thursday. Time Warner Cable News Reporter Jessica Chen explains.
HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Another winter snow storm, and it's not pleasing all residents in the Hudson Valley.
"I hate it, I hate snow, I hate cold I’m done," said Middletown resident Brian Diana.
The snow started falling in the Hudson Valley early Thursday morning.
I-84 was forced to close to commercial traffic. It was closed from the Connecticut state line to the Pennsylvania state line by State Police.
But not everyone could stay off the roads. Cab driver with Robin's Taxi, Surjeet Vassi said he had to take it extra slow.
"We were ready to close, but we have to take care of our customers so we have to work," he said.
But others like Teannee Alves, saw the day as a time to spend with family.
"The kids get to come home from school, don’t have to go to school and I have them around me more," said Alves.
She and her son are calling it a movie day.
"Watching movies, we’re watching Enders Game right now so we’re coming out to get some chips and stuff like that," said Alves.
And with snow continuing Friday Morning, it could mean more snowy roads.
"The car is going all over the place but you have to drive very carefully slow," said Vassi.
