MONTICELLO, N.Y. -- A man arrested last February on drug and weapons charges in Monticello is sentenced to eight years in prison.
Jamal Trent, 28, of Monticello, was sentenced in Sullivan County court to eight years for criminal possession of a weapon, as well as five years for drug possession.
Police executed a no-knock search warrant at Trent's Shore Garden apartment last year and say they found crack cocaine and a gun inside.
He was sentenced as a second felony offender for having a prior conviction of a weapons charge and violating probation.
