MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. -- Thanks to Stewart’s Shops, the City of Mechanicville can complete the final piece of its revitalization project.
Stewart’s President, Gary Dake, presented a $20,000 check to the city.
The money will go towards installing lighting at the City Dock on Terminal Street.
It's all in an effort to keep both boaters and pedestrians safe.
Dake says he feels the City is overlooked and has so much to offer.
"Mechanicville has been very good to us. We have shops that are successful; we have great people who work here, great customers going into those shops. We are really thrilled to be able to give back to the community," said Gary Dake, Stewart’s Shops president.
Construction on the city's revitalization project began in the fall of 2012
