The snow can have one of two effects on people. Headaches and frustration or joy and happiness. Michael Howard found more of one than the other.
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- As the flakes fall or in Wednesday’s case ice as well, It forces everyone to come out And dig out. To say many are sick of the snow is debatable.
But one thing is clear. It causes a headache and a long day of work for many.
“You’re going to need energy, as you see I got a cup of coffee and I’m ready,” said Poughkeepsie resident Melvin Scipio.
For Scipio that means spending extra time shoveling out his car before he goes to work, which took him more than an hour.
“I got gloves and I’m about to step in the car to warm up which is the next step once I finish this path that I’m almost done with,” said Scipio.
Poughkeepsie saw more than 8 inches of snow Wednesday which caused many drivers like this one to slide right off the road. Luckily he was unhurt.
The latest snowfall even proved too much for this plow truck. It caught fire while in the middle of plowing a parking lot.
So if the snow is causing you stress, just remember, there’s warmer weather on the way.
