LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. — Law enforcement and doctors want to alert the public about a dangerous heroin now making its way into New York state.
Authorities say in western Pennsylvania alone, there were more than 20 deaths caused by heroin overdose in just the last week.
The heroin is being sold in bags labeled "Theraflu" "Bud Ice" and "Income Tax". It's is laced with fentanyl – a powerful narcotic said to be 10 to 100 times stronger than morphine.
