ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany County Executive Dan McCoy honored the Albany Symphony Orchestra and its conductor after winning a Grammy Award.
Conductor and musical director David Alan Miller received the award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo during the ceremony on Sunday. The Grammy was for "Conjurer" conducted by Miller. The piece featured a world-renown percussionist and the Albany Symphony.
"It's really the incredible, passionate. Lovers of music in our great community. And our board of directors, our staff, our subscribers, and donors who really deserve this award. This incredible tribute. So I want to thank all of you who support the Orchestra and the arts," said Miller.
Miller and his son traveled to Los Angeles to accept the award.
