ALBANY, N.Y. -- New plans for the Corning Preserve Waterfront Park are displayed showing improvements to downtown Albany.
The Corning Preserve Waterfront Park is part of the Impact Albany Initiative and Albany 2030 Plan.
It includes projects to improve downtown so it can become a destination for the public.
The development would connect the waterfront to downtown and give people more activities when they visit the area.
"Kayak rentals, canoe rentals, bicycle rentals having those types of recreational amenities were a real plus. Plus maintaining the concert series," said Gary Sorge, Stantec Senior Principal.
Development on the waterfront could begin within the next couple of years.
